Your Role
The Project Team Leader is responsible for leading key customer projects from concept to completion — ensuring on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery across all project phases: design, material readiness, manufacturing, testing, shipping, and on-site commissioning.
The role combines direct project leadership and team management, leading a group of Project Managers while personally managing strategic or complex projects.
We are looking for a strong, proactive leader who drives projects forward, challenges teams, and ensures each milestone is achieved — no passive coordination, but active ownership and problem-solving.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple customer projects from order intake to commissioning and handover.
- Manage a team of 4 Project Managers, providing guidance, priorities, and support in daily project execution.
- Ensure each project delivers on scope, budget, and timeline, according to contractual and internal requirements.
- Actively monitor project progress through structured reviews, daily tracking, escalation, and issue resolution.
- Lead and facilitate weekly project reviews and cross-functional follow-ups with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production.
- Ensure and collaborate on Clean-to-Build (CTB) readiness before each build phase — materials, design documentation, and production plans.
- Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain to ensure smooth execution in cell-based manufacturing.
- Manage customer communication (if needed) and coordinate with Customer Center PMs during on-site installation and commissioning.
- Establish and maintain clear reporting routines – project dashboards, cost tracking, risk logs, and forecast updates.
- Take ownership of resource allocation – plan, assign, and balance workloads across projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively to avoid schedule or cost deviations.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and lessons learned processes.
- Ensure project documentation and change control are properly maintained.
- Promote accountability, discipline, and team focus on results and delivery performance.
To succeed, you will need
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project management within industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading end-to-end technical projects (design → build → test → ship → commissioning).
- Strong ability to push project progress actively, remove roadblocks, and maintain momentum.
- Proven leadership of small teams (3–6 people), ideally Project Managers or Coordinators.
- Experience in manufacturing-based projects and coordination with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production.
- Strong grasp of project economics (budgeting, cost control, forecasting).
- Advanced skills in project tracking, reporting, and risk management (MS Project, Workfront or similar).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English (Czech/Slovak advantage).
- Self-driven, assertive, and organized personality with a hands-on approach
In return, we offer you
- Plenty of opportunities to grow and develop
- A culture known for respectful interaction, ethical behavior and integrity
- Potential to see your ideas realized and to make an impact
- New challenges and new things to learn every day
- An interesting remuneration & benefits package incl. phone, laptop and car also for private use
- 5 weeks of vacation
- Language courses
- Life/pension insurance
- Contribution to sports activities
- Meal allowance
