- Own and define data architecture, engineering standards, and best practices, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and sustainable.
- Translate complex finance requirements into robust technical solutions in collaboration with Finance BI and business stakeholders.
- Ensure data is accurate, reconciled, auditable, and compliant with governance and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and continuously improve data quality, monitoring, and governance frameworks.
- Lead technical discussions, influence architectural decisions, and represent Data Engineering in cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor and support other engineers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to the growth of the data engineering capability.
- Drive continuous improvement across platforms, tooling, and processes to enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
To succeed, you will need
- Extensive experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence within a complex environment, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and pipelines.
- Expert SQL skills and strong hands-on experience with Databricks (PySpark) and Python, including working with large and complex datasets.
- Experience designing analytical data models (e.g. star and snowflake schemas) and a good understanding of how data is consumed in reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Experience working with finance data, including financial reporting, KPIs, reconciliation, and data quality requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, influence technical decisions, and collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical solutions with finance and business priorities.
- Fluent English.
In return, we offer
- A healthy work-life balance with a 37.5-hour working week, 5 weeks of vacation plus 3 additional days off, and a range of wellbeing benefits including seminars, workshops, a Multisport card or wellness vouchers.
- A hybrid working model combining home office with work from our modern offices near the city centre, alongside a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Excellent opportunities for professional growth, clear career paths, supportive leadership, and individual development plans.
- Continuous learning through LinkedIn Learning, language courses, soft skills training, and other development opportunities.
- Annual salary review, pension contribution, and childcare contribution for children up to the age of three.
