Sales Engineer (Capital Equipment) - Brasov

Your role
As a Sales Engineer, your mission is to drive sales growth for our business by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs.
You will report to the National Sales Manager and work closely with the engineering, product, and service teams, as well as distributors, to ensure the successful implementation of sales strategies
You will:
- Engage in face-to-face and remote sales to new customers, as well as cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers.
- Ensure successful implementation of sales strategies by leveraging your technical expertise and understanding of customer needs.
- Promote sales of all Group equipment by achieving annual targets in sales, turnover, profitability, inventory, and market share within your product range and territory.
- Achieve profitable growth by focusing on increased sales, market and customer share, and profitability consolidation.
- Support the Sales Manager in executing territory management strategies, marketing initiatives, organizational improvements, and training activities for employees and distributors.
- Manage the full sales cycle: from opportunity identification to order acquisition, negotiation, delivery, and payment—adhering to Standard Sales Conditions and Credit Policy.
- Monitor the market by tracking share, competitor activity, and CT equipment usage (AC, multibrand, competitors), and submit regular reports.
- Share business intelligence with management, identifying potential new opportunities.
- Foster a customer-centric culture through visits, calls, and correspondence. Support the distribution network and uphold Atlas Copco’s vision: “First in Mind, First in Choice.”
- Promote the full product portfolio. Visit customers to assess needs and develop technical and commercial proposals.
- Collaborate with the Service Team to resolve customer issues, escalating when necessary.
- Consult with your manager on proposal content, including pricing, product options, parts, service, and warranty terms.
- Follow up with Accounting and Credit to ensure timely payment collections.
- Submit regular and ad hoc reports to your manager, tracking progress and key activities.
- Update CRM weekly with accurate records of visits, communications, proposals, and orders.
- Own your development by improving product knowledge and sales/marketing skills. Take part in training, including e-learning, and document your learning progress.
- Support new colleagues through coaching, training, and onboarding when assigned by your manager.

- You have 4–5 years of experience in B2B sales, with proven exposure to industrial sales.
- You have an engineering degree or diploma. A master’s degree is a plus.
- You have an excellent command of the local language and a very good command of English.
- You are proficient in computer use and hold a clean driving license.
