Your role

The Warehouse Operator  ensures accurate material handling, inventory control, and timely delivery of materials to production lines to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. This position maintains safe, efficient warehouse operations while ensuring inventory accuracy and effective material flow throughout the site.

 

  • Receive, inspect, and store inbound materials to ensure accurate inventory records and proper material traceability within the warehouse and production environment.
  • Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production lines in alignment with production schedules to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Execute kitting and line-side replenishment activities to ensure timely availability of components at point-of-use and maintain efficient material flow.
  • Perform inventory control activities including cycle counting and physical inventory (PI) to ensure system accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) to safely move, load, and unload materials while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, storage strategies, and space utilization to ensure efficient material flow and a clean, safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies to support a safe workplace and proper handling of materials, including waste and packaging disposal.
  • Support continuous improvement of warehouse and material flow processes to enhance operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and overall production support.

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical training in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing is a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing warehouse or production environment
  • Experience with material handling, inventory control, and shopfloor support in a factory setting preferred
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory management practices
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and RF scanners is preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification preferred)
  • Familiarity with cycle counting, Kanban systems, and lean manufacturing concepts is an advantage
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong awareness of workplace safety standards and commitment to following all safety policies and procedures
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (production, planning, quality)
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions, safety procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

This role involves frequent manual handling and movement in potentially variable environments, requiring sustained physical effort.

 

Hand and Finger Use/Dexterity: Uses hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls continually or almost continually (74% of the time), with manual dexterity for grasping and manipulating items.

Moving Objects/Lifting/Carrying: Frequently moves, transports, positions, or removes objects, often requiring exertion of force (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more for bags or drums); involves static and dynamic strength for pushing, pulling, or carrying.

Standing/Walking: Remains in an upright stationary position or traverses distances continually (23% of the time for standing) or frequently, including balancing and coordinating multiple limbs.

Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Positions self by bending, twisting, or stretching the body about half the time (45%), requiring extent flexibility and trunk strength for repeated support without fatigue.

Repetitive Motions: Performs repetitive actions continually or almost continually (45% of the time), demanding stamina for prolonged physical activity.

Other Environmental Factors: Frequently exposed to extreme temperatures, weather, contaminants, or noise; wears protective equipment (e.g., gloves, safety shoes) daily (80% of the time).
