Salary Range: $52,040 - $65,050

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. 

 

Your role

•    Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using appropriate measurement equipment to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, ensuring nonconforming products are identified, contained, and escalated as required.
•    Record, analyze, and report inspection results; ensure accurate and timely documentation of defects, trends, and quality performance data to support decision-making and communication to relevant stakeholders.
•    Execute, maintain, and improve inspection standards, methods, and work instructions to ensure consistent, repeatable, and efficient inspection practices across production.
•    Initiate, document, and support Non‑Conformance Management (NCM), including defect segregation, tagging, and participation in failure analysis, root cause investigations, and follow-up actions.
•    Support resolution of quality issues by participating in structured problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D, CAPA), driving containment and corrective actions, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
•    Maintain and verify calibration status and proper use of inspection equipment and measurement systems, ensuring compliance with calibration plans and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) requirements.
•    Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) by adhering to ISO 9001:2015 requirements, participating in internal and process audits, and ensuring compliance with procedures, standards, and documentation controls.
•    Drive continuous improvement in inspection, manufacturing, and supplier quality processes by identifying opportunities, supporting improvement projects, communicating results and observations to interested parties, and improving efficiency and product quality.

High school education or GED; associate degree or quality courses, seminars or certification(s) a plus. 

•    3–5+ years in a manufacturing quality environment performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
•    Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, fluke meters, CMM) to verify conformance to drawings and specifications.
•    Experience performing mechanical and electrical verification activities in accordance with product requirements and defined standards.
•    Demonstrated ability to identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material, including support of NCM processes and defect tracking.
•    Participation in internal, process, and supplier audits, including preparation, execution, and closure of findings.
•    Application of structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, CAPA) and basic data analysis tools to support quality improvements.
•    Strong foundation in quality tools and methodologies, including documentation support, root cause analysis, process auditing, inspection, process definition, and continuous improvement within an ISO environment.

 

•    Working knowledge of inspection methods, measurement techniques, and acceptance criteria for mechanical and electrical components
•    Skilled in documenting and communicating quality data, inspection results, and findings to cross-functional teams.
•    Strong adherence to inspection processes, control plans, and electrical test procedures while working with production teams to communicate defects and support containment.
•    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, electrical schematics, and GD&T for accurate inspection decisions.
•    Working knowledge of ISO standards and hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS), inspection methods, and manufacturing quality controls.
•    Ability to work effectively in a production environment, collaborating with operators, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain product quality.
•    Strong attention to detail, organization, and decision-making skills to ensure accurate inspection results and product acceptance
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical quality information to cross‑functional teams (Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Safety, etc.).
•    Self‑directed, organized, and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within cross‑functional teams.
•    Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills
•    Excellent communication, team working and interpersonal skills
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (data reporting/analysis)

Physical Demands

 

Sitting/Stationary Positioning: Remains in a seated position frequently (about 40-50% of the time) for tasks such as designing, analyzing data, or using computer-aided design (CAD) software. 

Hand and Finger Use/Dexterity: Uses hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls occasionally to moderately (30-40% of the time), with manual dexterity and arm-hand steadiness for tasks like sketching, operating computers, or handling small tools; near vision required for detailed drawings or screens. 

Standing/Walking: Traverses moderate distances or remains in an upright stationary position frequently (30-40% of the time) to inspect production lines, collaborate with teams, or evaluate equipment on the shop floor. 

Moving Objects/Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally moves, transports, or positions objects weighing up to 20 pounds, such as tools, prototypes, or materials, during inspections or testing; requires minimal to moderate exertion for pushing or pulling equipment. 

Bending/Twisting/Reaching: Positions self by bending, twisting, or stretching the body occasionally (20-30% of the time) to access equipment, inspect machinery, or reach workstations; moderate flexibility needed. 

Repetitive Motions: Performs repetitive actions occasionally (20-30% of the time), such as typing or adjusting equipment, requiring sustained focus but minimal stamina compared to manual labor roles. 

Other Environmental Factors: Frequently exposed to moderate noise levels (e.g., machinery, production environments) and occasionally to contaminants or hazardous equipment (20-30% of the time); may wear protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hard hats, or hearing protection) when on the shop floor (30-50% of the time); works in both office and manufacturing settings with constant interaction with others.
