Advanced Engineering Manager

Your role
As the Advanced Engineering Manager at Edwards, you will be at the forefront of driving innovation within our Semiconductor Vacuum division's global engineering framework. Leading a diverse and talented team, your mission is to architect and implement a comprehensive strategy that encompasses engineering tools, development processes, and capability enhancement to accelerate product innovation worldwide.
Reporting directly to the Head of R&D Operations, your role is crucial in ensuring our engineering systems foster rapid time-to-market, exceptional product quality, and distinctive product differentiation across a broad and complex portfolio. You will develop and maintain a cohesive vision for digital engineering, integrating key components such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), systems engineering methodologies, requirements management workflows, advanced simulation techniques, and emerging AI-driven technologies.
Championing the Engineering digital transformation journey towards model-based engineering, you will enable seamless digital continuity throughout the product lifecycle — from initial concept and design through manufacturing, deployment, and end-of-life phases. Collaborating closely with R&D, IT, supply chain, and external partners, you will cultivate an ecosystem that supports innovation, agility, and sustainability. This is a leadership role that requires strategic thinking, hands-on expertise, and a passion for developing scalable engineering solutions that set industry benchmarks.
Embracing a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, you will inspire multidisciplinary teams to challenge the status quo, adopt best practices, and leverage cutting-edge technologies. Your ability to guide cross-functional initiatives and influence organizational change will be pivotal to the success of Edwards’ ambitious growth objectives and technological leadership in vacuum solutions.
