Your role

 

As a Data Engineer, your mission is to play a key role in a fast-growing business transformation team, unlocking the power of data to drive cutting-edge machine learning solutions. You will help build the foundations that enable predictive insights into vacuum asset performance, shaping how we use data to anticipate failures and deliver smarter, more proactive customer solutions.. You will report to the Data Analytics & Solutions Architecture Team Lead.

 

You will

  • Build and develop robust ETL pipelines, creating accessible and well-structured datasets in a Data Lake
  • Ensure data pipelines are reliable, monitored, and automatically report issues
  • Enable programmatic access to data for Data Scientists and analytics teams
  • Optimise performance of business-critical pipelines, defining and tracking key metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate subject matter expertise into data solutions
  • Define requirements for data linkage and quality checks to enable automated pre-processing
  • Support best practices through participation in design discussions and code reviews
  • Communicate insights and findings clearly to a range of stakeholdersdescribe main responsibility

You have experience working as a Data Engineer including:

 

  • Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/data pipelines
  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages such as SQL and Python
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure)
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as DataBricks
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with a drive to continuously improve data solutions

Job location

This role offers a hybrid or fully remote working arrangement, there may be some travel required to our Global Technocolgy Centre in Burgess Hill, United Kingdom (GB).
