Project Manager

Role Purpose
To accelerate the delivery of complex engineering system projects within the Emerging Technologies team by providing structured project management, clear communication, risk control, and delivery-focused coordination across design, procurement, build, and stakeholder activities.
Your day-to-day
- Identify, assess, escalate, and manage project risks and issues to protect delivery commitments and enable timely decision-making.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including Gantt charts, milestones, dependencies, resource assumptions, and critical path visibility.
- Lead project delivery cadence for complex system design and build activities, ensuring work packages are clearly defined, prioritised, and progressed.
- Coordinate cross-functional design sprints and project reviews, capturing actions, decisions, risks, issues, and next steps.
- Support procurement activity by tracking component requirements, supplier inputs, purchase status, lead times, and delivery constraints.
- Define system build work packages for technicians and ensure build priorities are clearly communicated.
- Communicate project status clearly to internal stakeholders, highlighting progress, blockers, decisions required, and forecast delivery impacts.
Your skills and experience
- Recognised engineering qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Recognised project management qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3D CAD design experience.
- Experience managing complex engineering system design and delivery activities.
- Working knowledge of engineering processes and documentation, including ECNs, BOMs, SOPs, technical drawings, and build documentation.
- Ability to use project planning tools to manage schedules, dependencies, actions, risks, and reporting.
- Minimum of three years’ engineering and/or project management experience.

Your location
The role is based at our GTC site in Burgess Hill, and will require occasional travel to other Edwards sites.
