Senior Product Manager - Future Platforms
In this role, you will report to the Global Product Manager, Dry Pumps and your mission is to:
- Drive and progress platform development in the semiconductor dry pump business
- Ensure there is a future roadmap vision, aligned with sector marketing, customer centres, core technology and other key stakeholders, that will create an innovative and differentiated offering
- Drive the realisation of these high revenue platforms through NPI and ensure they deliver on revenue, margin and share gain targets
You will:
- Ownership of the future platforms product roadmap, with defined deliverables, release dates, value propositions and core technology goals
- Ensure that within the plan a strategy is in place to address share gaps in global key accounts
- Align with the global Service Division to ensure their strategy is facilitated in future product platforms
- Own the Product Management to Core Technology interface. Run regular alignment meetings and own alignment strategy and manage stakeholders to ensure that solutions to critical customer problems are being worked on
- Own the Product Management to Market Sector team interface to ensure the relevant Sector Managers are generating market data and insight to support the definition of a clear product strategy
- Own a continuous program of voice of customer (VOC), both directly with global customers and through the customer centres, to define, analyse and quantify customer problems
- Work with the Marketing team to ensure value propositions are effectively communicated and launch packs are available to support global deployment
To succeed, you will need
Around 5 years of related experience, including:
- Strategic product leadership – Proven ability to define and drive product vision, strategy and roadmaps
- Experience of deriving multi-generational platform roadmaps from complex sets of customer requirements
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills demonstrated through global customer interactions, and an ability to persuade and influence upwards and downwards
- Understanding and experience of the semiconductor industry and/or dry pumps is highly desirable.
- Experience of high technology products or service markets is a must
- Data-driven decision making
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and derive customer problems and needs from face-to-face voice of customer activities
- Self-reliance and the ability to take initiative and drive change in an organisation
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in either engineering or marketing, or relevant experience in lieu of academic/professional qualifications
- Fluent spoken and written English is essential. A second Asian language would be a benefit

Job location
Hybrid
This role will ideally be based at the Edwards Global Technology Centre (GTC) in UK, but could also be based at the Cheonan Product Company, Korea. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site and will require a flexible approach to work and travel. International travel is a must and will likely cover several weeks throughout the year.
