In this global role, you will help shape and improve the tooling strategy, engineering standards and operational processes that support safe, efficient and consistent service operations across our STC network. You will be part of the STC organisation and will report to the Senior Manager – Industrial Engineering.

In this role, your mission is to establish globally aligned tooling governance, industrial engineering standards and operational methodologies that support safe, efficient and consistent service operations across the global STC network. You will help drive standardisation, service readiness, tooling lifecycle management and digital tooling solutions, working closely with VSS Engineering, Operations, Technical Support, Supply Chain, Quality, Compliance, Operational Excellence, Digitalization and regional STCs and Product Companies. Through strong stakeholder collaboration, you will support safety, quality, productivity and sustainable business growth across the STC network.

Your responsibilities

    • Own and develop the global tooling and industrial engineering strategy, governance framework and long-term roadmap.
    • Define global tooling standards, engineering principles and operational methodologies that support safe and efficient service operations.
    • Manage the full tooling lifecycle, including concept, design principles, certification, compliance, availability and retirement.
    • Drive the development and continuous improvement of tooling databases, management platforms and ordering systems.
    • Partner with Digitalization and IT teams to define business requirements for tooling-related digital solutions.
    • Support product and service readiness by applying design-for-tooling principles during new product introduction.
    • Develop standards for engineering KPIs, productivity measurement and capacity planning across the STC network.
    • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, standard work and service execution.
    • Build and maintain a global knowledge framework for tooling, documentation standards and best practice sharing.
    • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Companies, VSS Engineering, Operations, Technical Support, Supply Chain, Quality, Compliance, Operational Excellence, Digitalization and regional STCs.

Your skills and experience

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical design or manufacturing and/or relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering or service environments, preferably with industrial equipment or rotating machinery.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working effectively across cultures and functions.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach with the ability to create clear processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • A results-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes that support safety, quality and productivity.

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.
