Engineering Intern
CPC Pumps is looking for a talented engineering co-op student to join our team to fill the existing role of Engineering Intern (May to August; Approximately 4 Month).
Purpose
The Mechanical Designer Intern is responsible to create designs and technical drawings for rotating machinery and equipment. They will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to create and improve product designs and to develop drawings for a wide variety of machines, including pumps and skids.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs and drawings of machined components, welded fabrications, pipe layouts and full assemblies of pumps in both SolidWorks & AutoCAD
- Review and update pump layouts, engineering documents and drawings for conformity and errors
- Review contract requirements and customer specifications to ensure compliance with purchase order, industry standards and applicable regulatory requirements
- Review pump design and sub-components to ensure proper fit and design along with compliance with customer specifications

Qualification Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work well with others
- Well organized and able to prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail is a must
- Proven self-starter with strong work ethic, high energy, and positive attitude
- Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
- AutoCAD for 2D sketching
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills
Education and/or Experience
- Registered in a Mechanical Engineering or Technology program (with minimum 1 year of program completed)
- Must be part of a qualifying co-operative education program

The expected rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. The final compensation may vary due to factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
