Your role

CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill an existing vacancy in the role of Mechanical Designer.

 

As a Mechanical Designer, you are responsible to create designs and technical drawings for rotating machinery and equipment. They will work closely with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to create and improve product designs and to develop drawings for a wide variety of machines, including pumps and skids. You will report to the Mechanical Design Manager.

 

You will

 

  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings of machined components, welded fabrications, pipe layouts and full assemblies of pumps in both SolidWorks & AutoCAD
  • Prepare and release engineering documents, such as bill of materials and contract documents (Outline drawings, sectionals, inspection and test plans)
  • Review and update pump layouts, engineering documents and drawings for conformity and errors
  • Develop/maintain existing and new engineering standards through cooperation with the different engineering function

  • Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing/industrial field is preferred
  • SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software (minimum 2 years of experience)
  • AutoCAD for 2D sketching (minimum 2 years of experience)
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills
  • Experience with rotating equipment (pumps, turbines, motors, etc.) is an asset
  • Knowledge of common industry standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API) is preferred
  • Proven self-starter with strong work ethic, high energy, and positive attitude
