Finance Intern

CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill a new vacancy in the role of Finance Intern (May to August; Approximately 4 Months).

 

Purpose

 

The Finance Intern provides support to the accounting department with accounting, accounts payable, collection, invoicing, and general accounting tasks.

 

      Duties and Responsibilities 

  • General Accounting tasks, accounts payable, collection, and invoicing
  • General Ledger Entry postings
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Variance Analysis (Profitability, GL accounts)
  • Support Month-End Close and Financial Reporting
  • Assistance with SAP Implementation project and company audits
  • Ensuring expenses have receipts attached with a documented business reason
  • Ability to focus on accurate data entry in a dynamic environment
  • Preparing Cheques, ACH and Wire Payments
  • Filing and scanning of invoices and accounting documents

 Qualification Requirements

 

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, enjoy data entry and commitment to accuracy
  • Have strong organizational and time-management skills

 

   Education and/or Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Diploma in accounting and/or Business is preferred
  • Must be part of a qualifying co-operative education program
  • Strong Microsoft office (word and excel) skills
  • ERP experience (e.g., ACCPAC and SAP knowledge) is an asset
  • Previous office administrative and finance/accounting working experience is an asset

The expected rate for this position is $21.47 per hour. The final compensation may vary due to factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
