GAP_Manager_Service Operations

Your role
- As the Service Operations Manager Marine Aftermarket, you lead the global Marine field service team. You are responsible for a safe, reliable, and efficient service execution onboard vessels, both on voyage and during dry-dockings.
- You coordinate the field service engineer (FSE) preparation, mobilization, tooling requirements, planning of workflows, and post-job quality reporting.
- You act as the execution backbone of the Marine Aftermarket organization, ensuring consistent OEM-level service worldwide, and you will be a key contributor to establish the Marine Aftermarket organization as recognized benchmark in the Marine industry.
- Your mission is to deliver world-class Marine service execution by ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence. You will manage FSE planning, dispatching, and competence development of the FSEs in collaboration with the Technical Support and Training manager.
- You will improve key performance indicators such as first-time-fix rate, post-service warranty rate, job-reporting quality, and customer satisfaction.
- You will oversee tooling and diagnostic equipment availability and calibration, and define process flow maps for job execution. You will be supported by a service planner and collaborate closely with the technical support and sales team.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor degree in Mechanics, Mechatronic, Instrumentation or Marine Engineering.
- Training in operational excellence, planning systems, or HSE frameworks is an advantage.
- Extensive field service operations experience in turbomachinery or Marine environments.
- Proven ability to coordinate FSE scheduling, job dispatching, reporting and training.
- Experience in on-voyage and dry-docking service execution planning.
- Strong background in spare part and tooling logistics.
- Familiar with administrative processes related to deployments (e.g. visa applications).
- Demonstrated success in improving execution KPIs and operational excellence.
- Strong operational leadership skills.
- Structured planning and strong organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and customer alignment ability.
- High HSE awareness and compliance mindset.
- Strong situational awareness, problem solving ability and understanding of a 24/7 business.
