GAP_Manager_Technical Support & Training

Your role
- As the Technical Support & Training Manager Marine Aftermarket, you are responsible for all technical governance, failure analysis, global troubleshooting guidance, product knowledge development, and capability-building for the Marine Aftermarket of the Gas & Process Division.
- You act as the central technical authority supporting technical support engineers, field service engineers (FSEs), shipowners and product companies.
- Your role ensures that all technical cases, service recommendations, and maintenance standards are executed safely, consistently, and in line with OEM specifications.
- You also own the global Marine technical training program and competency development paths for the technical support team, FSEs, agents, and customers.
- Your mission is to strengthen the technical backbone of the Marine Aftermarket organization by ensuring fast, reliable, and expert-level technical support; supporting failure investigations and overhaul recommendations; defining technical standards and troubleshooting guidelines; ensuring technical risk mitigation and compliance with warranty and safety standards; providing technical risk input for LTSAs and commercial reviews and developing and executing training curricula in collaboration with the divisional training center.
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics or Instrumentation.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment (turbo or screw compressors, companders).
- Additional certifications in vibration diagnostics are beneficial.
- Extensive experience in technical support of turbomachinery or cryogenic Marine applications.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex failures using analytical tools and system troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting technical execution of dry-dockings and on voyage repairs.
- Familiar with OEM warranty processes and claim evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in technical training program development.
- Understanding of automation/IAS logic and system integration.
- Experience collaborating with Product Companies on RCA and design improvements.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capability.
- Excellent communicator able to simplify complex subjects.
- High safety awareness and compliance mindset.
- Strong leadership in technical mentoring and capability building.
- Ability to work cross-regionally in multicultural environments.
