Your role

The Accountant is responsible for accurate financial reporting, transaction processing, and compliance with accounting standards. The role covers sales-order-based accounting, SAP support, budgeting data provision, audits, internal controls, asset and inventory management, foreign exchange monitoring, contract review, and month-/year-end closing.

 

  • Financial Reporting & Transaction Management
    The Accountant oversees each step of sales-order transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment, working closely with Project Management, Logistics, and the accounting service provider (GBS). Responsibilities include maintaining shared files for orders, invoicing, and collections; preparing and reviewing sales and receivables reports; and confirming revenue recognition aligns with IFRS at major delivery milestones. The role verifies journal entries, reconciles project hours and costs with the project controller, and executes month-end and year-end closings to ensure timely, accurate statements. It also supports reconciliations for bank, intercompany, and general ledger accounts with GBS, ensures proper inventory valuation, requests necessary postings, and monitors overhead rates. The Accountant manages functional cost analysis and forecasting models while identifying cost-reduction opportunities.

 

  • System Management & Compliance
    The role handles SAP Finance issues, performs testing, and coordinates with SAP key users, AC Group teams, and GBS. It provides raw financial data for budgeting and forecasting. The Accountant supports audits by reviewing entries and preparing evidence, ensures compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, reviews contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment, and monitors foreign exchange transactions to confirm accurate international trade postings.

 

  • Communication & Cross-Functional Support
    The Accountant collaborates closely with GBS to maintain accounting accuracy and works with internal teams to gather financial information and resolve issues. The role offers guidance on financial processes, suggests improvements to enhance operational efficiency, and handles ad-hoc accounting matters as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field required
  • Over 3 years’ experience in an accounting or financial position
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skill with sense on figures
  • Able to work under pressure with commitment and with eyes to details
  • Flexible traveling locally and overseas
  • Native Korean must and fluent in both spoken and written English
