JOB TITLE: Engineer_Process & Production

DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process)

REPORT TO: Manager_Workshop

LOCATION: Busan, South Korea

 

 

 

 

[MISSION]

 

Contributes to the stable operation and efficiency maximization of compressor manufacturing processes, focusing on new product mass production preparation and process development. Manages 4M changes (Man, Machine, Material, Method) and reviews and overseas production technology-related matters. Additionally, strives for cost reduction and quality improvement through production equipment and process enhancements, while promptly identifying and resolving issues on the production floor.

 

 

 

 

[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]

 

Change Management

  • Conduct thorough reviews of changes and evaluate their impact on production during Kick-Off and Handover meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant departments to develop clear and effective solutions in response to any changes.
  • Manage risks associated with 4M changes (Man, Machine, Material, Method) to ensure production stability.
  • Lead the development and validation of new product mass production processes.

 

Production Technology

  • Oversee and manage production assembly techniques, including assembly methods and tooling.
  • Review and supervise production commissioning technologies such as test logic and move-in/out, lifting procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and control work standard documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and field operation specifications.
  • Prepare and track specifications to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance.

 

New Products and Equipment

  • Assess production impact related to the introduction of new products.
  • Evaluate and oversee the installation and operation of new equipment.

 

Continuous Improvement Activities

  • Identify and implement on-site improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead 6S and Kaizen activities to promote workplace organization and continuous improvement.

 

 

 

 

[REQUIREMENTS]

 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, majored in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or similar.
  • More than 10 years’ experience in machine’s assembly and test.
  • Proven experience as senior engineer or relevant role.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge about mechanical assembly, piping production including welding, packaging, quality and operation procedures of tailor-made machinery.
  • Experience in regards of marine classifications (KRS, LRS, DNV, BV, ABS) is a surplus.
  • Able to make critical decisions under pressure, while maintaining the safety and wellbeing of the staff he/she is responsible for.
  • During busy periods, he/she is required to undertake manufacturing tasks and assist the throughput of work through the workshop.
  • Good command in written English, fluency in Korean language.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 and SAP system, AutoCAD.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
  • Experience in 5S, lean activities in workshop is preferred.
  • Willing to travel, average <10% of the working time.
