[MISSION]
To secure components, materials, and services from domestic and overseas suppliers in line with technical specifications, cost targets, quality requirements, and delivery commitments. This integrated position supports General/Project Sourcing, Aftermarket Sourcing, and Supply Expediting. The Sourcing Manager may assign one or more role areas and adjust priorities or switch tasks based on business needs, employee capability, workload, and operational urgency.
[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]
- Comply with sourcing processes, applicable policies, the Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice, and relevant safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and delivery data in SAP/ERP and other department systems.
- Source technical components, materials, and services from local and international suppliers for project, production, and Aftermarket requirements.
- Identify, assess, select, and develop suppliers with Engineering, Quality, Supplier Development, Planning, Project, Logistics, Operations, and Aftermarket teams.
- Issue RFQs, coordinate technical and commercial evaluation, select suitable quotations, negotiate price, lead time and commercial terms, and issue purchase orders.
- Review bills of materials, drawings, specifications, and supplier information to confirm completeness and alignment with requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance in quality, delivery, pricing, responsiveness, and capability, and coordinate corrective or preventive actions.
- Monitor purchase orders, supplier production, shipment status, and delivery commitments; identify risks and establish recovery plans.
- Expedite critical materials and shipments to minimize production delays, inventory shortages, customer service disruption, and project schedule impact.
- Analyze and communicate material cost deviations, delivery risks, recovery timelines, and decisions required to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate inbound logistics and communicate with freight forwarders and external logistics partners as required.
- Arrange supplier meetings or visits and report open orders, supplier performance, late deliveries, critical risks, cost, and recovery actions.
- Contribute to Sourcing KPIs, including cost savings, supplier on-time delivery, purchase-order past-due reduction, supplier quality, and material readiness.
- Perform other reasonable sourcing, purchasing, supplier-management, delivery-follow-up, or expediting tasks assigned within the overall scope of the position.
[REQUIREMENTS]
- Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant technical, manufacturing, purchasing, order-handling, or supply-chain experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, project delivery, scheduling, inventory, logistics, and supplier-management processes.
- Ability to understand technical specifications, bills of materials, drawings, cost information, and supplier data.
- Good Microsoft 365 and Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and reporting tools, preferably SAP.
- Good written and spoken English and fluency in Korean.
- Approximately five years or more of relevant experience in sourcing, purchasing, supplier quality, supply chain, planning, logistics, order handling, or expediting preferred.
- Experience with suppliers, purchase orders, quotations, negotiations, supplier evaluation or development, cost analysis, delivery follow-up, and recovery actions.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, heavy industry, rotating equipment, compressor packages, project manufacturing, or a similar environment preferred.
- Experience with technical commodities such as heat exchangers, piping components, controls, instrumentation, or comparable manufacturing components is an advantage.
- Experience in an international company is preferred but not mandatory.
- Availability for domestic and international business travel depending on assigned responsibilities and business needs.
