[MISSION]
All packaging and testing activities are planned, executed, and controlled to ensure optimal solutions are delivered in terms of safety, quality, and on-time performance.
Critical tasks during LD/HD compressor package production (including drive alignment, test preparation, test execution, and final adjustments) are systematically planned, executed, and monitored to ensure high production quality, reliable pre-shipment testing, and continuous improvement of operational efficiency in daily workshop activities.
All activities are carried out in alignment with contractual delivery commitments, ensuring that deliverables meet required standards of timeliness and quality.
[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]
- Understand the requirements regarding the compressor packaging and testing.
- Select the suitable mechanical components for test run, to set up and maintain test bed.
- Coordination between workshop team, Engineering team and sub-supplier regarding mechanical issues
- Install the main equipment for LD/HD compressor package. (Base frame, Compressor, motor, heat exchanger, cooler and etc.)
- Carry out the motor solo run, VFD identification, internal test, and the official FAT.
- Conduct core assembly and shaft alignment.
- Maintain the test bed, measuring tools, spares related testing.
- Responsible for core equipment mounting on the base frame including leveling. (Compressor, motor, heat exchanger, etc.)
- Performing compressor and motor’s shaft alignment.
- Test preparation such as utilities installation and test cable connection preliminary testing.
- Carrying out test run with internal team.
- Perform all necessary test preparation such as LD/HD unit moving & lifting, utilities connection (Cooling water, Instrument air, N2 supply, Lubrication oil filling and power/control cable connection)
- Parts/materials handling (receiving, storing, moving, lifting, recording) by crane or fork-lift operation. Operate testing automation system
- Check the installation quality according to P&ID, check list, GA/E&I drawings during packaging (Cabling, instrumentation, tubing, piping).
- Being responsible for SHEQ activities.
- Cooperate with the workshop electrician, warehouse specialist and 3rd party vendors.
- Provide technical support and feedback to the internal team.
- Support our local service team during installation and commissioning at customer site.
- Parts/materials handling (receiving, storing, moving, lifting, recording) by crane or fork-lift operation.
[REQUIREMENTS]
- Mechanical, electrical engineering degree or equivalent.
- Understanding drawings/diagrams, procedures, and instructions written in English.
- Knowledge in regards of marine classifications (KRS, LRS, DNV, BV, ABS) is a surplus.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the machine operation, packaging or heavy industry as a mechanic.
- Hands-on experience in rotating machinery packaging, machine assembly or shaft alignment.
- Be familiar with factory acceptance test or shipyard’s commissioning activity.
- Good communication skills and teamwork spirit.
- Be available to work at night shift.
- Good command in written English, Fluency in Korean language.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 and ERP system.
- Willing to travel, average <10% of the working time.
