JOB TITLE: Manager_Aftermarket

[MISSION]

 

The Aftermarket Manager leads the Aftermarket function at the Busan Product Company, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused commissioning, warranty and after-sales services for products manufactured in Busan. The role is accountable for operational performance, team development, service quality and continuous improvement, working with Global Marine Service and other stakeholders to ensure clear ownership and seamless customer support. 

 

 

 

 

[KEY RESPONSIBILITY]

 

Leadership and Organization

  • Lead Aftermarket Operations and translate Product Company, divisional and functional priorities into operational plans and targets.
  • Develop the Aftermarket team through effective staffing, coaching, competence development and succession planning.

Operational and Customer Service Delivery

  • Ensure safe, timely, high-quality and commercially responsible commissioning, warranty and after-sales services for products manufactured in Busan.
  • Oversee service orders from scope review and planning through execution, commissioning, warranty closure and customer acceptance.
  • Lead the resolution of critical customer, technical, quality and delivery issues with relevant stakeholders.

Performance and Business Management

  • Monitor KPIs covering safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, customer satisfaction and team capability, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Support quotations, warranty assessments, forecasting, cost control and profitability improvement.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Work with Global Marine Service to clarify ownership, coordinate shared field activities and ensure effective handovers.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Production, Sourcing, SHEQ, Finance and other Aftermarket organizations.
  • Turn field experience, warranty findings and customer feedback into improvements in products, documentation and service processes.

Safety, Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ, legal, contractual and company requirements for internal operations, customer sites and external service partners.
  • Report performance, risks and improvement actions to the General Manager and relevant Gas and Process Aftermarket leadership.

 

 

 

 

 

[REQUIREMENTS]

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Marine Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Technical knowledge of rotating equipment and related auxiliary systems.
  • Professional proficiency in Korean and English.
  • Knowledge of field service safety, quality systems, technical documentation and warranty processes.
  • Experience with business applications and ERP systems.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline preferred.
  • Knowledge of turbo or screw compressor packages, including drivers, heat exchangers and control systems.
  • Experience with SAP and PLM systems.
  • 15+ years of experience in aftermarket, field service, commissioning, technical project execution or service operations in an industrial equipment environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a technical or service organization.
  • Experience managing customer escalations, cross-functional coordination and service delivery in an international or matrix organization.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, compressor systems, marine applications or similar engineered products is preferred.
  • Commercial service experience covering quotations, warranty, forecasting, cost control and profitability is preferred.
