Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Your mission is to deliver skilled on-site service that keeps our customers’ equipment performing reliably and safely. You use your expertise to repair, maintain, and support the technology they depend on. Through your work, you help customers secure the uptime and performance they need to run their operations with confidence. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.
- Perform installation, commissioning, start-up, and operational validation of electric tools and related equipment at customer sites.
- Execute and deliver the assigned service strategy and maintenance plans effectively to ensure optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
- Execute and manage Annual Service Agreements (ASAs/AMCs), ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and service standards.
- Handle customer complaints, including warranty, goodwill, and chargeable service cases, ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure through the QCM database.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting across the assigned territory while managing day-to-day service operations efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to established response time targets and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct customer training programs to enhance product utilization, improve operational efficiency, and maximize equipment uptime.
- Collaborate closely with the Service Sales team to ensure successful execution of service contracts, preventive maintenance schedules, and customer support initiatives.
- Mentor, guide, and support Service Engineers and technicians to ensure effective service delivery and continuous skill development.
- Manage key accounts and contracted customers, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct customer presentations and technical demonstrations to promote best practices, improve equipment lifecycle performance, and minimize operational downtime.
- Coordinate with Project and Sales teams to ensure the successful installation, commissioning, and handover of machines assigned to the service function.
- Analyze technical issues and equipment failures, providing expert guidance and corrective actions to service teams and customers.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards and regulations at customer sites and workshops.
- Identify operational risks and recurring issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the Aftermarket Sales team by identifying and generating leads for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), service agreements, spare parts, and other aftermarket solutions.
- Demonstrate and maintain strong technical expertise in handheld tools, fixture spindles, pneumatic systems, software products, QAT tools, and associated accessories.
- Provide regular service activity reports and updates to the Service Team Lead/Supervisor, including customer issues, project status, key risks, and resolution plans.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in service, maintenance, troubleshooting, or technical support within the automotive, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related industries.
- Hands-on experience in the servicing, maintenance, and repair of industrial tools and equipment will be considered an advantage.
- Proven ability to install, commission, diagnose, and repair equipment at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime and high service quality.
- Sound knowledge of PLC systems, automation technologies, and industrial control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and support automated equipment.
- Experience working with DC fastening tools, electric tools, or torque-controlled assembly systems is highly desirable.
- Strong technical problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to work independently in field service environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
Your location
- You will be part of our customer center in Cairo, Egypt (EG). You join a field service team that works close to our customers, where most of your time is spent traveling within your assigned area to support them on-site.
