Mission and Activities

Following the acquisition of Metalplan by the Atlas Copco Group, the Compressor Technique business area is seeking a professional to join Metalplan’s management team, supporting the integration process in line with the principles and controls of “The Way We Do Things.” 

This manager will report directly to the Country Manager of Metalplan. Their mission will be to:

  • Support business during the integration process, leading initiatives and activities related to the finance area;
  • Assist in effective decision-making by conducting accurate, assertive, and relevant financial and commercial analyses;
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate internal control processes and the proper adoption of Atlas Copco Group procedures;
  • Actively participate in business activities, contributing to its development and growth in line with established strategies and objectives;
  • Raise “red flags” to administrative and operational management swiftly and diligently whenever compliance with “The Way We Do Things” principles is at risk;

Are you ready to lead a competent team and ensure Metalplan’s financial sustainability? If so, explore the key challenges of this position and what we expect you to develop:

  • Identify the company’s financial situation through analysis of financial resources and economic agents, seeking improvements and supporting strategic decision-making;
  • Develop, analyze, and submit budget planning for review by local and divisional executive management, and carry out accurate forecasting throughout the year;
  • Develop internal procedures for the finance department and contribute to procedures in other departments to ensure standardization of activities;
  • Protect and manage company assets, supporting appropriate processes for inventory and fixed assets;
  • Ensure all financial reports and information comply with the solid principles of “The Way We Do Things”;
  • Guarantee that all statutory and accounting closing activities are performed properly, with quality and within deadlines, ensuring the success of the “zero reporting journey”;
  • Understand, organize, and monitor product cost development;
  • Manage cash flow and group indicators related to working capital to avoid shortages in operating funds;
  • Develop the finance team by offering the best training and development opportunities, acting as a leader who fosters a culture of continuous learning;
  • Develop and lead an accountancy team and manage external consultants;
  • Manage ERP upgrade and lead the project with management team;
  • Responsible to monthly closing report and work in closely cooperation with divisional team;
  • Promote diversity and inclusion within the team and across the business, leading by example.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Solid experience in finance and controlling roles;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or related fields;
  • Familiarity and experience with the solid principles of “The Way We Do Things”;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and Power BI;
  • Desirable specialization or MBA in finance, business management, internal controls, or related areas;
  • Advanced English proficiency to lead business meetings (BRM – Business Review Meetings and CRM – Company Review Meetings) with division and business area representatives.
