Your new role will be
The Sales and Business Development Manager - Western Canada oversees the Western Canadian (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC) Oil-Free Air sales team, guiding Technical Sales Representatives through coaching and training while maximizing sales efficiency across the region. This role involves promoting the growth of Oil-Free Air business in close coordination with the Business Line Manager – Oil-Free Air.
The Sales and Business Development Manager reports to the Business Line Manager – Oil-Free Air Division and is full-time at 35 hours per week.
This position is based in Alberta, preferably Calgary.
The main activities you’ll take care of
Sales Management
- Coach, develop and mentor the Oil-Free Air division technical sales team with the goal of achieving a high level of efficiency
- Focus on raising the commercial and technical competence of our Oil-Free Air sales team through ongoing and proactive training programs
- Regularly review his/her team’s structure to ensure that it is conducive to optimal efficiency and present proposed modifications to his/her superior for approval.
- Manage the Oil-Free Air division sales activities to obtain a strong profitable growth of the business, in accordance with the divisional targets and objectives
- Manage the internal sales tools to improve process efficiency, boost information access and generate relevant sales reports
- Regularly monitor and appraise direct report's performance and make recommendations on structural and commercial improvements to the Business Line Manager.
Business Development
- In collaboration with the Business Line Manager, provide professional business support to specific corporate accounts such as contract negotiation, product selection, terms & conditions, contract administration, price, and incentive programs
- Identify and develop strategic key accounts and diverse partnerships to expand our product portfolio market share in Canada
- Execute business development plan with the Oil-Free Air sales team by conducting visits and information seminars
- Evaluate industry trends, competition, client feedback, and develop or adjust marketing strategy accordingly
- Develop strong internal networks to follow up timely responses to open issues either commercial or technical service

What will help you succeed in your new role
- Previous experience in a similar role (sales, business development, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of sales and sales processes
- Previous management experience or proven capability of leading a team
- Strong knowledge of compressed air systems and the manufacturing industry would be an asset
- Flexbility to travel within Canada when required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to produce reports, presentations and deliver trainings
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written in English
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
