In line with our ambitious growth targets and potential of the Southeast Asia market (SEA) we are now looking for a highly qualified and motivated Business Line Manager for the Industrial Assembly Solutions Division. As responsible for IAS business, you will focus primarily on the business development and growth of our market leading adhesive and bonding equipment business in the entire SEA region, with focus on major markets in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia & Vietnam.    

Based in Bangkok, Thailand, you will be a hands on sales proffessional, witrh responsibility to develop, implement, and execute an effective strategy across the Southeast Asia region. You will have direct responsibility for driving the sales and will work closely with our key account teams in Germany, Japan and China.  

Reporting to Regional General Manager Customer Center SEA & OCEANIA, you are expected to ensure Atlas Copco is a world class supplier with a market leading customer value proposition.

In the position as Business Line Manager, you will be working in a global matrix environment. You will be P&L responsible for the business in your market and your mission will be to deliver sustainable, profitable growth. We expect you to focus on driving market penetration and increasing market share in line with the strategy. 

 

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Planning and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive sustainable profitable growth in line with the global strategy.
  • Achieve sales targets in line with our local and global ambitions.
  • Take a hands on approach to driving sales with direct approaches to all automotive OEMs.
  • Develop strong business relationships with automotive customers and prospects, in particular Japanese OEMs, where there is a special focus. 
  • Building, managing, developing and motivating a strong team.
  • Acquiring new customers and building strong relationships.
  • Building strong relationships with the material suppliers, machine tool builders and robot suppliers.
  • Developing efficient communication and cooperation with global key account managers in Japan, China and Germany.
  • Be a member of the local management team.

To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements

Candidates are expected to have at least 5 years of proven success and professional experience in B2B Sales Management / Senior sales roles within the automation, robotic or industrial manufacturing industries, and a strong experience in the automotive sector.  

 

Knowledge

The suitable candidate shall have a university degree in the technical area (industrial engineering or similar), or relevant industry experience. You should be fluent in English, and knowledge of Thai language would be a major advantage. You shall have experience of profit and loss accountability. You should have a proven success within sales and demonstrate a capability to plan and executing sales and marketing strategies. Good knowledge of the MS-office programs are prerequisite.

 

Personality requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a strong drive, customer orientation and primarily a business and result-oriented approach. You must have a determination to succeed and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Strong communication skills will be a significant factor in this role, and a willingness to travel is essential.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our office in Chachoengsao, Thailand (TH).
