Trade Compliance Analyst

Your role
As the Trade Compliance Analyst you will support the Trade Compliance Manager by delivering critical analytical insights, aiding in day-to-day trade operations within the Air Compressor Business Area, and ensuring accurate and compliant import/export activities that align with all customs regulations within North and South America.This position is located in South Charlotte (About 3-4 miles from Carowinds). This is a hybrid position #Li-hybrid with 2 work from home days per week.
You will

· Participate in internal trade audits of CTBA entities within the NASA region, review results, and provide analysis as needed to identify and suggest opportunities for improvement, minor, or major findings
· Perform tariff classification audits for new and existing imported parts of CTBA entities, and provide training to HTS engineers as needed
· Proactively monitor changes to US trade regulations that could impact business within the CTBA entities, provide guidance and help update internal policies and procedures as needed
· Assist in developing and delivering US Trade Compliance training content to all CTBA entities within the NASA region
· Assist with compliance system administration, data governance, and process enhancements with IT and cross-functional teams (SAP Act!, ACDC, GEMs, GTS, etc)
· Ensure organization is trained and adherent to reconciliation procedures, post-entry compliance task, and record keeping
· Conduct audits of forwarders & brokers to ensure compliance with established SOPs created with the entities of CTBA
· Support in the creation of import/export compliance manuals, and internal/external compliance SOPs
· Identify, through analysis, potential costs saving opportunities and make recommendations to leadership
· Bring forward ideas and execute projects for continuous improvement of the Trade Compliance program
· Align with other business areas and share best practices
· Support in the completion of CF28 request from CBP, and any other request for information

Education:
A completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
· Licensed Customs Broker preferred
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in trade compliance or related role
Strong understanding of customs regulations and HTS codes preferred
· Hands-on knowledge and interest in PC applications, MS-office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
· Experience with SAP S/4 Hana, GTS, or other similar systems used in trade compliance management preferred
· Experience of international transportation preferred
· Experience of Mexican & Canadian custom regulations preferred
Skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication will be required to influence stakeholders and deliver positive change
· Strong logical and analytical thinking will be needed to solve complex problems
· Ability to quickly learn new proocesses and systems & develop and implement improvement opportunities
