National Sales Manager - Process Cooling & Energy Conversion

Your role
Reporting to the Business Line Manager – OFA USA, your mission will be to lead the business development & growth efforts in the United States and drive sales of our product portfolio of Process cooling and Energy Conversion equipment. By leveraging your expertise, you will help us become the preferred supplier for our products, with a focus on sustainability and the growth of our customer share at each of their facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
· To manage a team responsible for the sale of industrial coolers and chillers, heat pumps, steam compressors and other energy conversion products that will be added in future for new greenfield or brownfield industrial projects, either directly or by collaborating with our existing sales team of air and gas compressor solution salespeople.
· To work closely with other equipment sales teams and aftermarket sales colleagues to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction to clients.
· Stay updated on industry regulations, energy policies, and government incentives for decarbonization and industrial energy efficiency.
· To achieve or exceed assigned customer share growth targets by developing and implementing action plans such as conducting plant surveys, report preparation and savings’ documentation
· To establish sustainable rapport within your area of responsibility by maintaining regular contact with sales team colleagues and existing / new customers.
· To ensure that the Process Cooling & Energy Recovery team responds promptly to customer inquiries, introducing customers to our capabilities, new products, and upgrades, studying customer needs, and coordinating customer service
· To continuously update their job knowledge (for products, market segments, competitive landscape, and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; networking; and participating in professional organizations
· To prepare reports as assigned relative to activity, lost orders, closings, follow-up, and performance against targets and forecasts.
· To maintain all field activity consistently and proactively in the company CRM portal, including appointments, opportunity creation, proposal generation, pricing approvals, updated project notes, and short/medium/long-term pipeline management.
· To prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing, and be actively involved in negotiating legal and credit terms.
· To oversee customer services through quality checks and follow-up; to help in identifying and resolving customer concerns.
· To always maintain a professional image through personal actions and initiatives, by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer-oriented image to customers.
· To enhance the Company’s reputation and brand image by consistently working to implement the Company’s core values of commitment, interaction, and innovation.
· To obtain, develop, prepare, deliver, and present sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs when attending exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities.
· To prepare a yearly territory business plan through deep analysis of market segments, products and applications, competitive landscape, etc.
· Perform all duties in accordance with Atlas Copco standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
· Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communications with all people/employees considered necessary to get the job done.
· Perform other duties as assigned
To succeed, you will need
Experience requirements
· 10+ years experience in thermal management product solutions (steam boilers/ system systems ,heat pumps, thermodynamics, thermal integration), including preferably 5+ years experience managing high performance sales teams
Knowledge
· Strong technical and commercial acumen to translate product capabilities into customer benefits.
· Excellent presentation and communication skills to engage internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Analytical mindset with experience in market research, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies.
· Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and digital marketing tools.
Educational requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, thermal & power engineering, chemical engineering, business or equivalent work experience

Job location
· The role is based in the United States; therefore, city will be dependent on individual hired.
· Travel will be required on a regular basis within defined territory to visit customers, project sites and suppliers. It is expected that travel can be up to 75% for customer meetings, training sessions, and industry events.
