Short Description

This role drives accurate and collaborative forecasting across VSS product groups, aligning with global and regional stakeholders to support business goals. Service Demand Planner leads the development of insightful reporting and ensures data integrity to empower strategic decision-making in global PC/DC/CC. The Service Demand Planner collaborates with PM/Marketing to consolidate long-term forecasts and support 3-year planning, and contributes to sustainable business growth. This role continuously enhances forecasting tools and processes through cross-functional projects and digital innovation. Through contributions to business reviews and supply chain initiatives, this role ensures demand planning is integrated into broader organizational success.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Demand Planning & Supply Chain Project Involvement
    • Support the Demand Planning Lead in adapting demand planning activities during transition to forecasting systems, processes, and related global supply chain initiatives.
    • Provide analytical support and ensure demand planning considerations are integrated into project outcomes.
    • Continuously improve demand planning processes by identifying systemic issues, proposing innovative solutions, and driving alignment across stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and continuous improvement.

 

  1. Forecasting Execution & Coordination
    • Take ownership of monthly demand forecasting activities across VSS product groups, ensuring alignment with global stakeholders such as STC/PC/DC/CC teams.
    • Coordinate with regional stakeholders to consolidate inputs and drive forecast accuracy improvements.
    • Lead the onboarding and data integration process for forecasting tools in newly acquired businesses.

 

  1. Mid-to-Long Term Planning
    • Act as the point of contact for gathering business growth forecasts from Finance and Marketing.
    • Lead the consolidation and analysis of data to support the creation of 3-year demand plans.

 

  1. Reporting & Analysis
    • Responsible for the generation of Power BI reports (e.g., Forecast vs. Demand vs. Actual, Forecast Accuracy).
    • Review and validate report outputs from current planning tools, Kinaxis or other approved reporting platforms, to ensure data integrity, consistency, business relevance, and timely insight delivery to stakeholders.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve forecast quality and support business decision-making.

 

  1. Forecasting Process & Tool Enhancement
    • Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement in forecasting processes and tools.
    • Lead small-scale improvement projects in collaboration with Marketing and Digitalization teams to enhance efficiency and automation.

 

  1. Cross-functional Collaboration & Guidance
    • Proactively support demand-related issue resolution by leveraging data-driven insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply planning, end to end supply chain team, VTIS team, VTBA team), and implementing preventive measures to enhance forecast accuracy and responsiveness.
    • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to multidivisional global team on forecasting tools, processes, and best practices.

 

 

Your skills and experience

Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field is required.

 

Relevant Experience

    • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, manufacturing planning, logistics, purchasing, data analysis or related business planning areas.
    • Experience in a global organization is preferred.
    • Experience in planning system transfer or implementation, data validation, process improvement or project support is preferred.
    • Experience or understanding of service repair business or after-sales business is beneficial.

 

Knowledge Areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fullfil the role’s responsibilities)

    • Good understanding of demand planning, forecasting, supply chain planning, and data-driven decision-making.
    • Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights using tools like Power BI, Excel.
    • Experience with ERP, forecasting or planning tools such as SAP APO, Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, Anaplan, or similar platforms is essential.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills to coordinate with global stakeholders and facilitate meetings.
    • Skilled in resolving demand-related issues through data-driven approaches and cross-functional teamwork.

    • Highly motivated and strong at self management.
    • Fluent in both written and verbal English.
    • Open minded, willing-to-do attitude is a must.
    • Flexible to work in a global time zone.
