Lead Quality Engineer - Supplier
Your role
The supplier quality engineering team leader is a member of the Quality Department and in charge of quality assurance of sourcing material and also, conducts to disseminate the Edwards quality requirements to all Suppliers. Primary purposes of the job include analyzing root cause, taking corrective action, preventing recurrence and continuous improvement for defective material with suppliers. All should be focused on the advanced product quality planning.

- Engaged in the quality of all supplied parts which is used in Cheonan PC and provided to service hubs via Cheonan PC.
- Required for interaction skills with both Edwards and suppliers.
- Cost reduction and outsourcing are the challenge to supplying part quality.
- Reports on weekly/monthly basis, some work is done according to annual plan
- Regularly contact/visit Major/Critical Supplier sites.
- Trouble shooting quality issues in operations.
- Regular audits of “at Risk” areas – Test rig, Finish off and Final test
- Playing a major role in coordinating & managing product incidents
- Playing a major role in coordinating & managing product quality issues.
- Assess suppliers to keep quality system.
- Training employees for quality techniques and continuous improvement.
- Early Engage for development project and control the quality
- Education level : Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Relevant Previous experience
• Over than +10 years work experiences as a quality engineer or similar role
• Technical and Analytical skills necessary to understand manufacturing processes, support quality initiatives, execute root cause analysis, coach suppliers in performance
• Improvement, understand product technical specifications, conduct supplier evaluation.
• Understand commercial and customer strategies in order to provide data to support commercialization
• Supplier management experience highly desired - Knowledge areas/Skills
• APQP(Advanced Part Quality Planning)
• Quality Management of purchasing parts
• Non-Conformity Material control
• New Supplier Selection and Approval Procedure, Supplier Risk Analysis, SESPA,
• Quality Management System(ISO9001) and Process/Procedure/Instruction
• Supplier Change Management
• Statistical Process Control / Quality Process Control
• Problem Solving Process based on 8D Report

n Monitor and review product failures for internal and external quality performance of supplied parts

Q-Cost Management
n Manage supplier scrap performance of supplied parts and make improvement action through in-depth analysis
n Communicate with STC and field service to receive failure information and provide corrective action reports if requested
n Monitor and review for customer site failure cost
Quality Assurance System
n Early Engage for development project and control the quality like as PPAP
n Process Audit for development project of Quality like as Control Gate
n Arrange supplier Quality improvement meeting and follow up corrective action of supplier improvement action
Job location
