Your future job

To develop mechanical systems solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies in creative and innovative ways during the life cycle of development of new products

  1. Support and follow-up activities to customer requirements of mechanical systems into product specifications to meet customer desires and to satisfy international / national laws and standards.
  2. Support and follow-up activities to translate product specifications of mechanical systems into P & ID, 3D modelling, 2D drawings and engineering analysis / calculation for manufacturable, reliable and serviceable new product.
  3. Support and follow-up activities to create test specifications of mechanical systems and perform tests of mechanical elements to verify and validate the design and the product that meet customer requirements and work in accordance with design intention.
  4. Support and follow-up risk assessment through HazOp and FMEA methodologies.
  5. Create BoM – Material Master, Assembly and Sub-assembly masters - for new products through SAP.
  6. Communicate with procurement and manufacturing to clarify design issues of mechanical systems during the development stage.
  7. Implement cost effective design to new product during the development stage
  8. Follow senior mechanical engineering and lead mechanical engineer

 

  • Education level
    • Have bachelor’s degree or above on mechanical or mechatronics or equivalent in engineering field.

 

  • Relevant Previous experience 
    • Over 3 years of experience in mechanical development is required. 
    • Worked or understand in a new product development / assembly environment
    • Understand full project phases through purchasing, design, executing and close out.
    • Understand time, cost & quality constrains.
    • Be able to deal with internal and external suppliers.

 

  • Knowledge areas/Skills
    • Knowledge of complex vacuum and product structure
    • Knowledge of design (project or develop) process (e.g. EC, ECDP)
    • Understanding data from drawing and validation or verification test result
    • Skill of proper selection standard parts for new product
    • Ability to distinguish between component and standard parts from assembly
    • Fully understanding for product requirement specification (or Master specification)
    • Knowledge of product reliability
    • Knowledge of relationship between dimension and tolerance

 

  • Other requirements (e.g. Language skills; competencies; expected travel requirements)
    • Have strong communication skill with suppliers.
    • Understand customer satisfaction is the key successful factor.
    • Be good at using general office software, Word/Excel/MPP etc.
    • Be good at using MS Visio and CATIA 3DX.
    • Having design experience in an engineering discipline is a plus.
    • Be pro-active, self-motivated, and self-confiden
    • Fluency in English written and spoken
