Programme Manager

Scope of the job:
- Accountable for BU-level NPI programme execution.
- Operates within portfolio strategy, funding, and prioritisation set by the Head of R&D Portfolio.
- Typically manages multiple NPI projects concurrently through Project Management team.
To succeed, you will need

Education: Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Science, or equivalent relevant discipline.

Experience and Knowledge:
Extensive experience leading complex NPI programmes in a global engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of product development, PCP governance, and portfolio management.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams concurrently.
Flexibility to travel to multiple locations nationally and internationally on a regular basis.

Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance strategic context with execution focus.
Excellent communication, Influencing and escalation skills across all organizational levels.
Programme and project management certification (desirable).
Role and responsibility includes:
- Own the delivery of the NPI programme in alignment with divisional strategy and portfolio priorities
- Act as the primary execution interface between the Product Management, Head of R&D Portfolio and other Functional Leads
- Act as final integrator for cross functional, across multiple entities depending on project and programme ensuring alignment and driving projects and programme forward
- Translate portfolio priorities into executable programmes and approved projects
- Allocate resources across projects and resolve cross-project conflicts
- Own programme-level performance management including schedule, cost, risk, and quality
- Ensure consistent application and adherence to, governance, and continuous improvement of the Product Commercialisation Process (PCP)
- Lead escalation to divisional governance forums where delivery is at risk

- Predictable delivery of NPI programmes aligned to business priorities.
- On-time, on-budget delivery to agreed performance and quality targets.
- Compliance with internal governance, safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
