Senior Sourcing Engineer

Your role

As a Senior Sourcing Engineer within the Semiconductor Division at Edwards Korea Ltd, your primary mission is to lead strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize supply chain efficiency and secure high-quality materials essential to our vacuum technology production. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing sourcing strategies to meet manufacturing requirements while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and industry standards.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to evaluate supplier performance and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, mitigate risks, and build sustainable partnerships that support innovation and supply resilience.
• Monitoring market trends and supplier capabilities to identify new sourcing opportunities and alternative materials that enhance competitive advantage.
• Utilizing data-driven approaches to analyze spend and supplier metrics, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making across the procurement lifecycle.

In this role, you will contribute significantly to maintaining Edwards’ leadership in vacuum technology by ensuring that sourcing activities support our commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability.

To succeed, you will need

• Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiation and contract management with proven results.

• Experience working in a cross-cultural, global supply chain environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with semiconductor materials and vacuum technology supply chains is a significant advantage.
