Mission / Purpose of the Job

The Technical Engineer in the Customer Value Creation (CVC) Hub is the primary technical resource responsible for implementing mechanical and electrical engineering changes and conducting regional, customer-specific tests and verifications in compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
The role’s mission is to design, execute, and validate product changes and improvements while developing enhanced specifications and customer-specific technical benchmarks to deliver differentiated value in customer response, product performance, and quality beyond standard Product Company capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop product changes and customizations, and integrate products with related components (e.g., sensors, contemporary items) in collaboration with design engineers and with approval from Global Product Management.
  • Provide technical support during customization and post-production within the CVC Hub; address design flaws and operational challenges; and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance, reduce cost, and increase efficiency.
  • Bridge mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines, ensuring effective system integration and cross-functional alignment.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test and validation plans aligned with customized configurations and specific customer requirements.
  • Ensure long-term reliability and durability of customized products and equipment by analyzing failure modes, conducting reliability assessments, recommending design improvements, and implementing predictive maintenance strategies in collaboration with the RTS team.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards by establishing and maintaining technical specifications for inspections, audits, and quality control processes in coordination with the PC compliance team.
  • Location: on-site, ASAN Product Company.
  • Manage sourcing activities for customized products, including supplier identification, contract negotiation, delivery management, and inventory control.Create, maintain, and update technical documentation related to engineering standards, product changes, and quality processes.
  • Provide technical training to CVC Hub technicians.

Qualifications

  • Education

    • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)

    Experience

    • Experience in manufacturing or engineering of mechanical machinery and semiconductor equipment (e.g., dry pumps, automotive, shipbuilding, aviation, engines).
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as:
      • Mechanical/Electrical Engineer in machinery or semiconductor equipment manufacturing, or
      • Technical Support Engineer for related equipment.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience as:
      • Technical Engineer for mechanical machinery or semiconductor equipment, or
      • Technical Engineer in mechanical design, manufacturing, quality, or project management, or
      • R&D Engineer with experience in new product or technology development.

    Language

    • Proficient in English (spoken and written) – OPIC IM3 or TOEIC Speaking IM3 or equivalent.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with engineering changes, assembly, or fabrication.Knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and safety regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and new work process creation.
  • Ability to design experiments, analyze data, and develop new processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in quality control procedure development and implementation.Familiarity with failure analysis and statistical tools (FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, Minitab, etc.).
  • Professional, proactive work ethic with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven project management experience (planning, scheduling, budgeting).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Experience in on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools.
