Manufacturing Engineer-Machining,Ops 1
Carries out process management activities for machining processes at Product Company Cheonan, establishes standardized work, and performs activities to achieve business objectives in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Secures production capacity and flexibility through continuous improvement activities such as cost reduction, quality improvement, shop-floor stabilization, and elimination of non-value-added processes. Based on this, achieves efficient machining processes and validation and improvement of machining lines.
- Implement regular activities as risk assessment and safety behavior to improve environment of machining shop floor. Identify a risky issue and collects available data and connects them to known solution or provides new solution.
- Collaborate with internal and external colleagues through prompt response and action, focus on root cause of serious quality issue to minimize machining scrap. Has responsible for optimization of production lines and manufacturing processes with improvement activities. Apply knowledge of manufacturing field, application, expertise and technology in order to achieve zero defect.
- Acquire communication and interaction skills to reach agreement through negotiation from diverse interests or others in related departments, to drive key performance results and manage conflict in a constructive way.
- Develop new product as a continuous improvement of manufacturing process and flexibly control plan to satisfy customer. Efficiently utilize time, resources and budget to fulfill the result. Verification and Validation manufacturing process for new machining part.
Education level : Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience) : 0–5 years of hands-on experience in machining or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge areas/Skills
- Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and measurement tools.
- Ability to follow standardized work and perform basic setups/measurements under guidance.
- Basic English communication skills preferred.
- Problem solving skills to look for better way to improve efficiency, productivity or customer satisfacition.
- Preference given to those with knowledge in drafting using 2D and 3D (CATIA V5 preferred).
- Preferred qualifications (e.g. Language skills; competencies; expected travel requirements)
- Preference with English communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Power Point and others (VBA, Coding program) preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of programming languages – eg Python, VBA, C#, C++
