Your role

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that operations are able to maintain customer service levels through ensuring that materials control  parameters are optimised.

This will be done through the day to day operation of materials related activities. This includes PI, stock levels and re-ordering parameters.

Job Resposibilities

  • Conduct PI counts and control material flow
    • Generate PI count sheets and regularly monitor key metrics.
  • Identify the root causes of PI variances
    • Track inventory variances and investigate their root causes.
  • Enhance the accuracy of PI counts
    • Develop and improve best practices for physical inventory counting procedures.
  • Ensure the integrity of in-house physical inventory
    • Run and review negative stock reports.
    • Investigate, report, and correct discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
    • Implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory audits
    • Review the Net Item Cost Variance Report and recount items with variances.
 
 

Skill / Knowledge / Experience

  • Education
    • High school diploma or higher in a manufacturing-related field.
  • Relevant Experience
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in materials management within manufacturing.
  • Knowledge & Skills
    • Good knowledge of procurement and supply chain management.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Understanding of SPC and manufacturing processes.
  • Other Requirements
    • Basic spoken and written English.
    • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
    • Knowledge of MAPICS.
