Your role
As a Compliance & Product Safety Engineer, you will ensure that our products meet essential safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to verify that designs are reliable, testable, and compliant with global requirements. Your contributions will support successful product launches, enhance customer satisfaction, and strengthen our organization’s commitment to safe and high‑performing solutions. You will
- Prepare compliance schemes that verify fit, form, and function of components and products, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
- Compile compliance reports and perform selected validation and development tests. Contribute as part of a project team to complete compliance activities within defined schedules.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members from various disciplines to deliver integrated product solutions and identify opportunities for improving team efficiency.
- Mentor engineers in specific compliance areas and provide technical guidance. Take responsibility for ongoing learning to maintain and expand compliance expertise.
- Monitor and track compliance schedules for assigned projects. Work closely with project engineers on both new product introduction (NPI) and legacy programs to support customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute test plans required for compliance verification. Ensure product designs support reliable and repeatable testing at both component and system levels. Coordinate compliance tasks with external agencies to obtain third‑party certifications.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of product safety requirements and apply relevant regulatory standards throughout development.
- Apply compliance principles across the product lifecycle. Promote awareness of standards, best practices, and techniques that support the required levels of safety, quality, and reliability.
To succeed, you will need
- Education level
1) Bachelor or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
2) IMechE, Chartered Mechanical Engineer preferred
- Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience)
1) At least 2 years of relevant experience as a mechanical engineer with strong background
- Knowledge areas/Skills (minimum level of knowledge to fulfil the role’s responsibilities)
1) Good understanding of developing enclosures for rotating machinery based products.
2) Good understanding of the design release processes.
3) Some experience working in a global engineering environment and working with international teams to deliver product development and product solutions. Some experience working in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
4) Experience working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry.
5) Preferably some experience in a project management role using both Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM) frameworks.
6) Cross-functional team management experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment

1) Must be a good communicator and have excellent fluency in spoken and written English.
2) Ability to adopt new ideas and methods and to quickly adapt to change initiatives.
