Your role
• Perform routine, preventative maintenance, repairs on Medical Gas Products, and Annual inspections, as well as advanced repairs.
• Train and assist technicians with development in the skills needed to perform these tasks.
• Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope).
• Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
• Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Provide walk-through evaluations and basic system assessments.
• Assist Regional Service Manager with team building and evaluate training needs of service team in your area.
• Assist with evaluating key customer accounts and escalation of risks and emergency services by bringing issues to the Regional Mangers attention.
• Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations
• Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Serve as an ambassador for the company
• Train and assist Technicians with job prioritization, advanced level of customer interaction, and escalation.
• Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required
• At all times, promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a professional image through appearance and personal actions as Lead Technician.
• Maintain positive company brand through appropriate attention to the appearance of the company vehicle. Maintain the service vehicle per manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Properly store and manage inventory levels of accuracy, to provide quick customer repairs (one visit).
Recordkeeping and Documentation (10%) – Complete Job Reports daily, Time Sheets weekly, Expense Reports turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required.
Warranty Part Returns (5%) – Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management. Returns must be completed within two weeks.
Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done.

Supervisory Responsibility
The Lead Service Technician will be responsible for overseeing the Service Technicians in his/her local territory; will work closely with Regional Service Manager to accomplish this. Train and assist technicians with performing annual inspections of piped medical gas systems at customer locations as needed.
Experience
• 5 to 10 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing equipment.
• Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of a wide variety of compressed air or vacuum equipment with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of piped medical gas system including annual inspections, and installations and or verifications.
Education
• Associate degree or equivalent
• ASSE 6040 or ASSE 6030 with an ASSE 6010 or ASSE 6020
• ASSE 6050 is a plus
Skills
• Must be comfortable using a computer
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Expert understanding of mechanical and electrical components
• Strong Customer Focus
• Good Oral and written communication skills
• Detail Orientated
Travel
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• The ability to travel on short notice may be required.

The compensation range based on skill and experience for this position is $41.23 to $51.55 hourly.
