Area Sales Manager, South

Your role
As a Area Sales Manager, South, You will report to Sales Manager.
You will
- Achieve and exceed agreed sales budgets for Industry Degassing Systems across the territory within contribution guidelines, maximising margin.
- To comply with Edwards processes including forecasting, cash management, safety stock management, warranty, and others as appropriate.
- To identify and penetrate new customers and applications for Edwards Industry Degassing products within the China market. This includes, but is not limited to :
- Industry Manufacturers
- Industry Equipment Manufacturers and Contractors
- Industry Equipment Design / Consulting companies
- To develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and tactics for the territory, including the selection and appointment of strategic partnerships in the form of agents. Channel development program is expected to provide well trained, directed and motivated sales staff interfacing with customers.
- Provision of leadership and motivation to direct reports, and manage their activities to maximise results from the sales strategies and tactics employed.
- Generate up-to-date awareness on the market situation for the products, including main customers for the products and their applications, competitor companies, their products and activities, market shares and growth rates, etc. Disseminate this information and instigate changes to optimise Edwards position in a timely and flexible manner.

- Degree level in an engineering or science discipline.
- At least 6 years broad experience in technical/sales/marketing roles ideally with a high technology industrial company.
- Comprehensive commercial and technical knowledge of the industry manufacturing market, applications and products.
- Business/Commercial awareness (marketing discipline/experience) familiar with business planning, analysis of financial scenarios which has resulted in sound commercial ability and acumen.
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical capability.
- Adaptability to fast changing market conditions.
- Influencing, communication, presentation and negotiating skills, both internally and externally. Able to achieve credibility and command respect.
- Able to develop/build relationships and interact effectively with customers at a senior level.
- Fluency in Chinese language is essential, strong English communication skills are also important.
