AIRnet Project Engineer

Your role

Atlas Copco Italy is looking for an experienced resource to manage AIRnet projects — our line of solutions for industrial installations — with the goal of supporting the growth of the national business.

After the training period, you will be able to guide customers in the correct design of compressed air and nitrogen systems and in implementing new solutions that reduce energy consumption. Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop both technical and commercial project skills, enabling you to manage collaboration with various teams across the Atlas Copco world (e.g. sales & marketing, engineering, operations) and external partners (engineering firms, OEMs, installers). 

You will be part of the OES (Optimization & Energy Service) team, which has the ambition to propose and implement products and solutions that improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of industrial applications of Atlas Copco Customers. 

You will be the national point of reference for installation design for our sales representatives, distributors, and contractors, and will coordinate with the technical specialists at our AIRnet Design Center — Atlas Copco's global centre of excellence for industrial installation design.

Activities

• Collaborate with sales representatives, design firms, installers, distributors, and end users to deliver complete projects including 3D layouts and bills of materials. 
• Manage the full project cycle, from the initial design request and quotation preparation through to the execution phase. 
• Provide adequate technical support to the sales force to add value to Atlas Copco solutions. 
• Build and maintain relationships with design firms and contractors as strategic partners for business development. 
• Train installers and colleagues on the correct installation of the AIRnet system. 
• Collaborate with all different Business Lines to create new business opportunities for colleagues. 
• Manage requests for quotation from subcontractors and supervise the correct execution of the required activities. 

Requirements:

• Technical background with a sales support aptitude 
• Degree in engineering or technical experience in industrial installations 
• Ability to read CAD drawings, P&ID, and flow diagrams 
• Excellent command of the Italian language 
• Professional proficiency in English (B2 or above) 
• Italian/European Category B driving licence 
• Residence in Northern or Central Italy 
• Availability to travel across the national territory

• Job classification and collective labor agreement (CCNL):  White collar, from Level 3 under the Tertiary, Distribution and Services Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Starting salary within the relevant salary range: from EUR 37.000 gross per year
