National Operations Manager

Your role
As the National Operations Manager, you are responsible for leading, optimizing, and executing all in house and field service operations across the country. This role ensures operational efficiency, service quality, and full alignment with organizational goals. You will report to the Business Line Manager of Vacuum Technique Services, North America.
You will:
• Oversee all national service operations, including service centers, workshops and field service teams.
• Achieve and exceed output targets including units and recovered hours, through accurate planning, execution, and reporting.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service and adherence to established service standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve service efficiency, output, and cost effectiveness.
• Establish KPIs and measurable performance dashboards for all service functions.
• Monitor and analyze service metrics, taking proactive action to address gaps.
• Lead, mentor, and develop in-house and field service teams nationwide.
• Ensure appropriate manpower planning, workforce scheduling, and skills development.
• Identify and implement service process improvements to drive productivity and consistency.
• Lead initiatives aimed at reducing service variance, improving response times, and enhancing customer experience.
• Oversee national control of parts, tools, materials, and service equipment
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and engineering teams to secure required service resources.
• Manage the operations budget, cost controls, and financial performance of the service function.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, as well as 8+ years of operational management experience, preferably in a service oriented or engineering based industry. You will also have:
• Demonstrated success in leading in house operational teams and/or field service.
• Proven track record in process improvement and operational optimization.
• Experience working with national or multi-regional operations.
• Formal training in Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems, service management platforms, or operational reporting tools.
• Excellent people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Job location
This role will be onsite/hybrid at one of Edwards facilities that are are near one of the following cities: Cleveland, OH, Haverhill, MA, Buffalo, NY, or Pheonix, AZ.
