Manager - Supply chain

Your role
As the Manager of Supply Chain at Trident Pneumatics Private Limited, a key entity within the Atlas Copco Group's Compressor Technique division, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process to support our production of air and gas applications. Your role encompasses multiple critical responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Planning: Lead demand forecasting and supply planning initiatives to ensure alignment with customer requirements and production objectives. You will optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts while balancing costs efficiently. Driving continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) metrics will be essential.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Manage sourcing and procurement strategies for both direct and indirect materials and services. Your expertise will aid in supplier identification, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts, pricing, and service level agreements. Continuously monitor supplier performance on QCD parameters and take proactive corrective actions to uphold standards.
- Logistics and Distribution: Plan and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective distribution of materials. You will oversee freight cost optimizations, manage third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships, and guarantee seamless delivery operations aligned with organizational goals.
- Operations Coordination: Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, quality, and engineering teams to maintain synchronization across departments. Address supply chain bottlenecks and disruptions proactively to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks threatening supply continuity and develop robust contingency and mitigation plans. Your foresight will mitigate the impact of disruptions on the supply chain, maintaining operational resilience.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to measure and monitor key performance indicators such as supplier on-time delivery, lead time reductions, order fulfillment rates, stockouts, and freight costs. Prepare detailed reports and drive actionable improvements based on these analytics.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with advanced planning tools, negotiation strategies, demand forecasting, inventory management, logistics coordination, and data analysis.
- Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated strategic thinking, effective problem solving, and confident decision-making skills essential for managing complex supply chain operations.
- Interpersonal Competencies: Strong communication skills, teamwork orientation, and conflict resolution capabilities crucial for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
- Educational and Experience Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mechanical) complemented by 15-20 years of extensive experience in sourcing and supply chain functions, preferably within the manufacturing sectors producing industrial equipment, automotive parts, or capital goods.
