Application Engineer Intradivisional Business & CPQ (m/f/d)

Your role
The Application Engineering team seeks a motivated Application Engineer for Intradivisional Business & CPQ. This role will split time between the Intercompany Application team and CPQ administration, with key responsibilities including:
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for compressor or expander Core Units or Parts by performing the following tasks:
- Assess customer requirements to develop competitive concepts in cooperation with relevant stakeholders
- Prepare and optimize cost calculations
- Determine and coordinate the proposed lead time with involved parties
- Provide support to other Gas and Process entities on any technical and commercial questions directed at Energas, the core manufacturer
- Initiate the analytical process and ensure all necessary information is supplied by other Gas and Process entities
- Start the incoming order process and transfer it to project execution
CPQ system development and maintenance:
- Update cost database as required
- Maintain configuration logic
- Automate bidding process
To succeed, you will need
- University degree in Engineering, Business Informatics or equivalent professional experience
- Familiar with turbomachinery or a strong willingness to develop expertise in compressor and expander technology
- Interest in product configuration, cost analysis and related technical aspects
- Knowledge in C# or other programming language is an advantage
- Outstanding communication skills in German and English
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office applications
- Demonstrated motivation, resilience and effective prioritization abilities
- Flexibility and strong teamwork skills

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco Energas in Cologne, Germany (DE).
