BeaconMedaes is seeking a qualified Medical Gas Inspector & Journeyman Technician for New Hampshire and Maine area.    This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to become part of our team.   

 

The role is focused on the following:
 

Annual Inspection and Repairs (85%) – Perform annual inspections, trace gas testing, air exchange, outlet/inlet repairs associated with discrepancies, as well as alarm panel, and manifold repairs related to the findings of the annual inspection.  Test and document the piped medical gas system in accordance to latest NFPA 99 standards, for compliance and safety.  Provide walk-through evaluations and basic system assessments. Inspect hoses and ceiling columns/ booms. Coordinate with Service Sales Specialist upon completion of each Annual to discuss leads, discrepancies, with quick customer turn around. Prior to leaving facility, discuss with responsible parties’ initial results of the inspection, and advise them that their Sales person will be in contact. Ensure report is provided in a timely manner via the MyMedGas FSE app reporting tool.
 

•    Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations.
•    Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism.
•    Serve as an ambassador for the company.
•    Train and assist other Annuals Technicians as requested.
•    Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required.
•    Always promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) .
•    Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and personal actions.
•    Maintain positive company brand through appropriate attention to the appearance of the company vehicle.
•    Maintain the service vehicle per manufacturer’s recommendations.
•    Properly store and manage inventory levels of accuracy, to provide quick customer repairs (one visit).
 

 

Recordkeeping and Documentation (10%) – Complete job reports daily, time sheets weekly, expense reports should be turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required.

 

Warranty Part Returns (5%) – Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management.  Returns must be completed within two weeks.

 

 Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done.  Perform additional assignments as required.

 
To succeed, you will need  

Experience:

  • Ability to understand architectural drawings. 
  • Ability to understand electrical drawings and basic low voltage wiring.
  • Must have ASSE 6020 and ASSE 6040 credentials.
     

Education:

  • Associate Degree or Equivalent
  • Technical training in mechanical and/or electrical, or equivalent experience

 

Skills:

  • Must be comfortable using a computer
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical components
  • Customer focused
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Detail orientated

 

Travel:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  •  Must be willing to work off-hours and weekends
  • The ability to travel on short notice may be required.
