Your mission as Regional Operations Manager is to support the sustainable profitable growth in line with the division and region strategy for the Specialty Rental North America. A results-driven leader with a passion for safety, process improvement, customer service, and operational excellence. Proven ability to streamline workflows, optimize rental fleet performance, and collaborate across departments to meet financial and service goals. This role is key to supporting company growth and operational execution in the region.
Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Develop deep understanding of Atlas Copco’s rental fleet, including product types, applications, maintenance needs, and customer pain points
- Understand customer segments (e.g., construction, manufacturing, municipalities) and their operational expectations
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, fleet maintenance, and equipment reliability
- Share and standardize best practices across the region to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Partner with corporate operations excellence on cross-functional initiatives and strategic alignment
- Manage region P&L and operational costs in line with business objective
Safety & Quality Management
- Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
- Promote a proactive safety culture through training, audits, and prevention program
Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing team members across the region
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance-based recognition to build team capability
- Foster a collaborative, high-accountability culture focused on results, safety, and customer satisfactio
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Champion service excellence using NPS insights and resolve escalated issues
- Represent the company to customers, vendors, and partners
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and marketing to enhance the customer journe
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor and align KPIs across locations (utilization, technician efficiency, turnaround time, etc.)
- Support digital transformation and automation efforts
- Deliver timely progress and performance reports to leadershi
Performance Metrics (to evaluate performance, or that are impacted by the role):
- Fleet Unavailability
- Turnaround Time
- Customer Satisfaction / Net Promoter Score
- Technician Efficiency
- Operations Cost as % of Revenue
- Uptime Center / Shutdowns Prevented

Safety (Risk Observations, Toolbox Talks, Incident Rate)
To succeed you will need:
Education
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering
Preferred: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; MBA preferred
Experience In Lieu of Education
1–2 years of relevant experience for every year of formal education
Experience
Required: 3–5 years operations management in technical/rental-based industries
Preferred: Experience with air/steam rental equipment or industrial field and shop environments
Certifications:
Required: None
Preferred: Lean Six Sigma, PMP or equivalent

Additional Eligibility Requirements
Must be eligible to travel within North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico)
Experience with air compressors and rental environments strongly preferred
Ability to represent the company in customer-facing and technical discussions

Moderate noise from team interactions
Other Locations
Frequent visits to customer sites with machinery, extreme weather, and loud environments
Regular travel to field/shop rental locations
