Service Technician

Your role
As a Service Technician, you will work in a shop environment performing basic preventative maintenance and repairs on portable industrial equipment including air compressors, generators, light towers, engines, pumps, and energy storage systems. This may include "tear-down" and/or reassembly under supervision of units that are being remanufactured.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on portable industrial equipment including air compressors, generators, light towers, engines, pumps, and energy storage systems in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and under the guidance of more qualifed service technicians.
- Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on equipment including a proactive, systemaic and analytic approach aimed at identifying the root cause of mechanical issues.
- Operate forklifts, lifting devices and overhead cranes as needed to perform maintenance and repair activities.
- Perform work within expected timeframes and demonstrate first-time fixes.
- Maintain your work utilization equal to or greater than 75% of the time.
- Comply with the Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) standards for the facility, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Read, understand, and use technical documentation.
- Record hours worked on jobs daily.
- Provide basic tools for the job maintain their proper working order.
- Participate in technical training activities aimed at improving your skills and competencies in equipment maintenance of portable industrial equipment.
- Share knowledge and provide training for other service technicians as appropriate.
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a clear, positive, and collaborative way.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel: occassional travel may be required (up to 25%)

A High School diploma or GED is requipred. You will need a minimum of 1-2 years of technical experience performing basic preventative maintenance on portable industrial equipment with demonstrated quality outcomes and within allotted timeframes.
Preferred skills include:
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- A basic level of understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Microsoft Suite), business systems, distribution channels, and accounting practices.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
