Your role

As a Workshop Engineer, your mission is to to contribute to the profitability of the company’s business by providing professional and efficient service of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Equipment. Reporting to the Workshop Manager and responsible for providing service & maintenance on customers' machines. 

 

You will

  • To promptly carry out refurbishment, overhaul, servicing and maintenance on Atlas Copco Power Technique portfolio to include  Portable air compressors, Energy storage systems, Deisel Generators, de-watering pumps and handheld equipment.
  • To effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on customer equipment at different locations mainly in the northern part of England and Scotland. 
  • To carry out PDI and commissioning of new equipment.
  • To identify required parts to effect repairs.
  • To complete job reports correctly and return them in a timely manner.
  • To coordinate with the workshop manager  to plan and organise daily and weekly visit schedules.
  • To be aware of, and strictly apply, Health and Safety regulations on customer sites/workshops.
  • To always apply good standards of engineering practice.
  • To maintain test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • To effectively promote the Atlas Copco Power Technique company image.
  • To perform related duties as required.

  • You will have current experience of repairing and servicing at least some of the following equipment: 
    • Energy Storage solutions.
    • Diesel Generators.
    • Portable Air Compressors.
    • De-watering Pumps.
    • Lighting Towers.

 

  • You will possess a good knowledge of the construction industry, be self-motivated, and be able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • As you are customer-facing you will have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have a good level of PC knowledge including Microsoft 365 application.
  • Goal-focused mindset, focusing on achieving targets and maintaining effectiveness.
  • You have your customers' perspective in focus and you know how to engage them in your ideas.

Job location

This role requires you to work on-site at our workshop in Royal Oak Way, Daventry.
