Your mission as a Service Support Manager, you will be a key contributor to the sustainable, inclusive and profitable growth of Atlas Copco Specialty Rental North America, supporting the continuous growth of the business, through excellence in operational performance, delivering best-in-class customer experience, while making better use of natural resources, and enabling people to flourish through continuous training and development of our team.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously drive safety initiatives and activities to maintain a consistent trend of reducing accidents and incidents.
  • Excellent technical support performance, reflected in customer satisfaction and other relevant operational KPIs (Unavailability, Reliability, Swaps, Scrap).
  • Support revenues and profitability growth in line with agreed targets.
  • Regularly gather feedback from the regions to understand their unique needs and challenges. Use this feedback to improve support services.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing within the support team through regular meetings, workshops, and collaborative platforms.
  • Continuously evolve customer experience by increasing reliability, first time right and digital interaction, while decreasing swaps and breakdowns.
  • Roll out the of the Technical L&D strategy ensuring that evolving requirements of the business are translated into learning strategies and supporting competence development solutions, including Learning Link in the strategy.
  • Embrace and promote lifelong learning concept and contribute to build up the #RentalAcademy culture in ASR North America.
  • Stay on top of new trends and tools, business needs and industry trends. Identify emerging technology solutions to enhance learning experience and/or reduce the resources/cost/time required to develop and execute training. Benchmark with internal and external peers for leading best practices.
  • Continuously learn about new technologies and updates to provide the best possible support.
  • Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical team members, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Offer specialized technical knowledge and skills to support the unique requirements of the new projects.

To succeed you will need:

 

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Atlas Copco equipment and industrial rental operations
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and lead technicians in the field
  • Excellent communication skills—able to bridge technical and non-technical conversations
  • Proficiency with digital service tools and reporting platforms
  • Customer-first mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving

 Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in industrial equipment service, preferably with Atlas Copco systems
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a plus but not required
  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a service team
  • Familiarity with rental operations and customer-facing service delivery
  • Strong command of English; bilingual skills are a bonus

  • Calm under pressure and resourceful in the face of technical challenges
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement

 

Additional Eligibility Requirements


Must be eligible to travel within North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico)

Experience with air compressors and rental environments strongly preferred
Ability to represent the company in customer-facing and technical discussions

 

Work Environment


Climate Controlled Office Space


Continuous use of computer and phone

Moderate noise from team interactions

Other Locations


Frequent visits to customer sites with machinery, extreme weather, and loud environments

Regular travel to field/shop rental locations
