Your role

In the role of Senior Warehouse Operator with Edwards Vacuum Technology Ireland Ltd, you will take a pivotal position at our Blanchardstown facility, overseeing comprehensive warehouse and materials management to ensure seamless support for our re-manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Zone Leader, you will deputise in their absence, coordinate daily activities within your zone, and spearhead training initiatives to develop the skills of warehouse personnel.

Your duties will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities including:

  • Timely reporting and thorough investigation of any accidents or safety incidents to uphold the highest workplace safety standards.
  • Ensuring accuracy and quality of incoming shipments by meticulously verifying product details and quantities.
  • Efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, supplies, and finished goods, optimizing inventory control, and supporting turnaround times.
  • Maintaining inventory integrity through systematic stocking, rotation, and adhering to shelf-life standards across various materials.
  • Issuing and tracking spare parts distribution to facilitate timely repairs and service delivery.
  • Coordinating the supply of consumables, hardware, and chemicals to production lines, ensuring continuous operations.
  • Safely handling incoming freight, including hazardous materials when applicable, leveraging equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Driving inventory optimization initiatives aligned with business requirements and collaborating with third-party providers to monitor vendor performance against delivery commitments.
  • Sustaining forklift certification status and leading operator training to ensure safety and compliance with mechanical lifting equipment protocols.
  • Championing continuous improvement projects, operational KPIs, and maintaining 6S workplace organization standards.
  • Actively contributing to a safe work environment by strictly adhering to and promoting safety policies within the warehouse.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and management to set priorities, meet quality and efficiency targets, and maintain open communication in problem-solving forums.
  • Leading training programs tailored to enhance individual and team competencies and acting as Zone Leader's deputy during their absence.
  • Undertaking additional tasks assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and proactive engagement aligned with Edwards’ values and standards.

To succeed, you will need

  • Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
  • At least three years of proven experience operating in warehouse or logistics environments.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication.
  • Practical skills in handling hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Strong computer literacy including advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing schedules; a detail-oriented mindset is essential.
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential is considered an advantage.
