Sales Engineer Offshore

Your role

Reporting to the UK Sales & Business Development Manager, the role of the rental sales engineer offshore, will use product technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of ACR Rental products. They will assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective. The role will require individual meetings with clients and potential clients to discuss/review rental business in a technical and commercial aspect for the company.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers.
• Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepare cost estimates by studying P&ID, Project plans.
• Determine improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
• Submit orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes.
• Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising sales information and engineering and application trends.
• Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner.
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in O&G rental air compressor solutions and O&G rental market.

To succeed, you will need

• BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with an engineering base.
• A full driving license is essential for travelling to various clients.
• Location Commutable to Dundee.
• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

• Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business goals..

This is field based. You will need to be within a commutable distance of Dundee.
