Your role

Bring your curiosity to work as our next Electronics Test Support Engineer. You will be part of our Test Support Engineering team reporting to the Test Engineering Manager. In this role, your mission is to provide hands on technical support for ICT and functional test systems within Operations, helping to maintain stable production testing, resolve day to day issues, and support continuous improvements. You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.

Short Description

We are seeking a proactive Electronics Test Support Engineer to support ICT and functional test systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves troubleshooting test equipment and fixtures, maintaining Keysight i3070 systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting production test performance. Working closely with Engineering and Operations teams, you will help resolve technical issues, improve test station reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that minimise downtime and enhance product quality

Your day-to-day

Provide day-to-day support for ICT and functional test stations on the production floor
Assist in troubleshooting ICT-related issues, including fixture, probing, and measurement problems

Support the operation and upkeep of Keysight i3070 test systems
Carry out fault finding and basic repair on test equipment, fixtures, and cables
Perform preventative maintenance to maintain test system reliability and minimize downtime
Support investigation of First Time Test Failure Rate (FTTFR) issues
Assist with engineering changes (ECDs) affecting test systems and fixtures
Work closely with senior test engineers to resolve more complex ICT issues

Help with test station improvements, duplication, and upgrades
Maintain clear records of issues, fixes, and recurring problems
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to support production needs
Escalate complex or systemic ICT issues to senior engineers with clear technical evidence and structured fault analysis.

Your skills and experience


•    HNC/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production test engineering environment.
•    Background in developing, troubleshooting, and supporting automated test systems for electronic or electromechanical products.

•    Practical experience with In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems in a manufacturing environment
•    Exposure to Keysight i3070 platforms (preferred but not necessarily expert level)
•    Basic understanding of:
ICT principles (probing, measurements, test coverage)
Test fixtures and interface hardware..
•    Ability to troubleshoot common ICT issues such as:
Fixture/probe contact problems
False failures and intermittent faults
•    Experience supporting automated test equipment (ATE) or functional test systems
Ability to read and interpret:
Schematics and basic PCB layouts

•    Good problem-solving skills with a structured approach
•    Able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
•    Communicates clearly with both engineers and operators
•    Willingness to learn and develop ICT/test knowledge further
•    Organised with good attention to detail
