Your role

As a Senior Test Engineer, your mission is to [responsible for the development of automated Module Test and PCA Test solutions and for new products entering into volume manufacturing]. You will report to [add Hiring Manager title]. Main responsibilities include:

Design and maintain automated test solutions for the assigned NPI team. This includes the specification and commissioning of test solutions both at PCA level and module level. Construct CEPs for test  solutions.

Up to formal handover to Operations, support test solutions for the manufacturing team.  Ensure test errors are reported and false fails dealt with appropriately.  Ensure FTTFR targets are understood and that the test equipment and methods are robust enough to support the target figures.

During NPI development, develop test for manufacturing assemblies that can support manufacturing in low to medium volumes.  These will need to be commissioned in conjunction with the Operations team and handed over to production to allow products to be built and tested in a stand-alone manner.  Look for ways to use automation to reduce test times and simplify the operator interface to minimise the possibilities for human error.

Investigate new test methodologies that could increase the level of test automation and reduce test times.  Look for opportunities to bring these methodologies in to the next generation of NPIs.

Design and develop automated Electrical Safety Test Systems for all modules which are required to operate at high voltage.​

Identify and work with 3rd parties to provide alternative test solutions as applicable.​

·         Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent required.  Alternatively an Electronics Diploma + demonstrated ability would qualify

 

·         Strong knowledge of electronics theory and some knowledge of electronics design are key requirements as is an ability to read and work from electronic schematics and system diagrams

 

·         Strong investigation skills and ability to quickly establish problem root cause

 

·         An ability to read and develop computer programs developed in Visual Studio (C# or VB.NET)
